On March 22, I introduced a Private Member’s Bill at Queen’s Park entitled the Insurance Amendment Act 2018 (Bill 20). This Act would amend the Ontario Insurance Act to allow the owner of a life insurance policy to use his or her life insurance policy as collateral for a loan. This legislation would let life insurance policy owners use their life insurance policies in the same way as they can use any other property they might own. I am hoping that oth
