You needn’t be a rocket scientist to be the Governor General

Being Governor General is one of the most difficult jobs in the country, because it’s not necessarily a task for a highly educated achiever who wants to change the system. It’s a job for a traditional, duty-bound, diplomatic person.
It’s also endless travelling, tiresome hand-shaking, constant handing out of awards and medals, numerous public functions, and an understanding that
