To answer your columnist’s rhetorical question: He had better believe that there will always be an England! Otherwise, shame on him for wishful thinking.
The United Kingdom, with about twice the population of Canada, is more than capable of standing on its own as a free and independent country. Canadians who believe the British people should give up their  sovereignty to be part of a United S
