Three people displaced as Aylmer dryer fire spins out of control

An apparent electrical problem in a clothes dryer spiralled out of control in Aylmer Thursday, leading to an hour-long fire that caused extensive damages to a home at 337 Des Framboisiers St.
Gatineau firefighters were called to the single-family home by the homeowner at about 9:40 a.m.
Some two dozen firefighters worked on the fire before declaring it under control an hour later.
Three people were displaced. There were no injuries, but damages were estimated at more than $58,000.
