Three people and pet displaced by east-end fire

The Red Cross and Salvation Army have been called to assist three people and a pet who were forced from a home by a fire in the city’s east end Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to 370 Enfield Ave. near McArthur Avenue at about 11 a.m. on reports of black smoke coming from an upstairs bedroom in a multi-unit apartment building..
Initial reports had indicated there was a person inside the building, but it was reported that all residents had left.
