Three big rigs collide on Highway 401 in South Glengarry

Three truckers were taken to the hospital with injuries early Tuesday after one sparked a chain-reaction crash on Highway 401 in South Glengarry Township.
The westbound stretch of the highway between county roads 23 and 34 was closed Tuesday morning as police investigated.
Their preliminary investigation suggests that “for reasons under investigation,”  a westbound tractor-trailer was rear-ended by a second truck at 12:21 a.m. The second truck was then rear-ended by a third.
