Thousands continue to face school suspensions over immunization records

There are 247 Ottawa students under suspension for having out-of-date immunization records, with more than 3,000 other students at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board facing suspension in the coming weeks.
Elementary students at the English public board have until Feb. 13 to present updated immunization records. On Jan. 16, 3,003 suspension letters were mailed to parents. By Feb. 4, more than half of those students — 1,842 — still faced possible suspension.
