Thirteen tenants displaced by rooming house fire

A fire that started in the basement of a Lebreton Street rooming house has forced 13 people from the damaged building.
At 6:19 p.m. Thursday, Ottawa Fire Services responded to a series of 911 calls about smoke pouring from the building at 118 Lebreton St. N., near Gladstone Avenue.
Arriving firefighters reported smoke and flames in a basement unit of the two-storey rooming house. The fire was brought under control by 6:55 p.m. with no reported injuries.
