Gatineau police have a arrested a 37-year-old man for theft following a dramatic hours long operation in which an Old Gatineau motel was surrounded by heavily armed police.
Police answering a call at the Ritz Motel, 137 Gréber Blvd., at about 9 a.m. were “informed” that there were suspicions that a weapon might be in one of the rooms.The officers called for backup and police ringed the low-rise motel, although the street was not closed.
