Texting in Queensway traffic costs drivers $615 each: OPP

Ottawa OPP officers nabbed two drivers who were spied using their phones on the Queensway during rush hour Tuesday.
Both were pulled over heading west in no-doubt heavy traffic through the city’s core, one at Parkdale Avenue and the other Rochester Street.
While it might be tempting to start texting in bumper-to-bumper Queensway traffic, it will cost you a fine of more than $600 and a likely hike in insurance rates, police warned.
