Talk heating up as NHL draft approaches

CHICAGO — The talk surrounding the NHL draft finally started to heat up Thursday and we’ll soon find out if it’s going to turn to even more action.
With Round 1 of the draft set for Friday at 7 p.m., the teams at the top — including the New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche and Vancouver Canucks — were all listening to offers for the top five picks in the draft respectively to see if somebody would be willing to overpay.
