Suspicious package on bus 'not hazardous,' Ottawa police report

A suspicious package that led to a hazardous-materials response by emergency services on Elgin Street on Saturday night was “examined and deemed not to be hazardous,” Ottawa Police Service reported late Sunday. An OC Transpo driver who found the envelope on his bus, kicked it and then started to feel nauseous was examined and cleared medically.
