Suspect surrenders on attempted murder charge

A 25-year-old man wanted in an east-end stabbing that left the victim with life-threatening injuries turned himself in without incident the same day, police report.
Brian Barnabas is charged with attempted murder, possession and use of a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.
Barnabas turned himself in late Friday night and next appears in court by video July 16.
Police had been called to Coleford Place near St. Laurent Boulevard and Brittany Drive at 1:30 a.m. Friday.
