Suspect sought after woman choked unconscious in robbery

Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in locating a suspect in a robbery last week in which the female victim was choked unconscious.
The robbery occurred when the pair had a “pre-arranged meeting” at 5:35 p.m. Dec. 16 on Albert Street between Elgin and Metcalfe streets. Police did not describe the nature of the meeting.
The suspect then choked the woman, demanding she hand over her money. He continued to choke her until she lost consciousness, then took her money and left.
