Struck skunk loused up operations at Ottawa airport

A Republic Airlines passenger jet raised a stink at the Ottawa International Airport when it struck and killed a skunk upon landing.
The twin-engine jet, inbound from from Chicago O’Hare International Airport, hit the skunk while landing at night on Sept. 11, according to a report published Thursday by the Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reporting System, a federal database of aviation incidents.
A following aircraft was instructed by air traffic controllers to circle and make a second lan
