Street dogs from remote Quebec community looking for Ottawa 'forever homes'

Twenty of about 150 stray dogs rescued from the overrun streets of a northern Quebec First Nation will arrive in Ottawa Monday on their way to loving “forever” homes.
“Dogs that have not been properly cared for will find families who will love them for their entire lives,” said Ewa Demianowicz of Humane Society International/Canada.
On Saturday, the society will team up with charity Chiots Nordiques to take volunteers, including veterinarians, to Obedjiwan, 12 hours north
