St. Patrick paraders brave gusty winds, chilly temps
Gusty winds and chilly temperatures weren’t enough to discourage thousands of spectators who lined the route for Ottawa’s 37th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday.
The sea of green departed City Hall at 11 a.m., travelling down Laurier Avenue before turning left up Bank Street for the main promenade.
Outgoing police Chief Charles Bordeleau drove the lead vehicle, a shamrock festooned green-and-white SUV cruiser.
