St. John Ambulance save Army runner in cardiac arrest

Volunteers with St. John Ambulance Canada saved the life of a runner who collapsed just as he was about to cross the finish line of the Canada Army run Sunday.
After cardiopulmonary resuscitation and a shock from an automatic external defibrillator delivered by a pair of the organization’s medical first responders, the man regained sinus rhythm.
“He is now in hospital and will soon return to his wife and daughter,” the volunteer society reported, hashtagging the happy ending #s
