Splash pads open Wednesday, but thunderstorm watch, showers in the forecast

In a sure sign of summer, city splash pads open Wednesday but it looks like Mother Nature has her own way of cooling off with showers and a thunderstorm watch in the forecast.
Wednesday’s forecast is for increasing cloudiness and a 40 per cent chance of morning showers.
Environment Canada issued a thunderstorm watch for the region from Pembroke to Cornwall, including Ottawa-Gatineau, at about 10 a.m.
“Conditions will become favourable for severe thunderstorms to develop this afternoo
