Special weather statement: 'Significant' rainfall expected for capital, 20-35 mm by Saturday

Environment Canada has issued a significant rainfall alert for the capital region, with a possible 35 mm on the way by Saturday morning.
“Rain, heavy at times, will move into Eastern Ontario Friday morning and continue into Friday evening,” the forecasters say.
“This heavy rain is associated with a Texas low that will track across Southern Ontario.”
