Smoky, soggy cats pulled from Cantley house fire wreckage

Firefighters in Cantley were unfortunately unable to save a home that caught fire early Wednesday.
But they were able to pull two cats from the smouldering wreckage.
Fire broke out in mid-morning at the home at 155 chemin Ste-Élisabeth and spread rapidly through the structure.
Residents were not at home at the time.
Damages were estimated at $200,000.
Firefighters combing the structure afterwards came across the two soggy, smoky but apparently uninjured kitties.ALSO IN THE NEWS:
