Six years after slaying, Crown outlines first-degree murder case against Adam Picard
More than six years after Fouad Nayel was shot dead, his remains buried in a shallow grave, the first evidence against his alleged killer was finally heard in an Ottawa courtroom.
Adam Picard’s first-degree murder trial began Wednesday following a long and winding route through the criminal justice system. Prosecutors Dallas Mack and Louise Tansey laid out the Crown’s case against the former soldier, who stands accused of killing the 28-year-old Nayel on June 17, 2012.
