Six displaced by early morning fire in Gatineau

About six people were forced out of their homes after fire struck at a Gatineau apartment building early Saturday.
Firefighters were called to the two-unit residence on Graham Street in the Hull sector 3:25 a.m..
The residents had managed to leave the building on their own.
Gatineau firefighters said the fire originated in a ground-floor bedroom. It was declared under control just before 5 a.m.
There were no reported injuries. Firefighters noted an unspecified pet was dead.
