SIU wraps up investigation into Rideau Lakes shooting death

Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit has ended its investigation into the death of a 43-year-old Rideau Lakes man who allegedly shot himself after receiving a phone call from police.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of June 3, in the Township of Rideau Lakes, just west of Smiths Falls, when an Ontario Provincial Police officer contacted the man and told him he would be arrested.
Shortly afterward, at 3:20 p.m., the man called 911 reporting that he had sustained a self-inflicted guns
