SIU won't lay charges after man suffers broken leg fleeing police

Ontario’s police watchdog won’t lay criminal charges against an Ottawa police officer after a man broke his leg while running from police and into traffic in 2016.
An investigation into the incident revealed police officers attempted to speak to a group of men believed to be smoking marijuana on Dec. 13, 2016 near the corner of King Edward Avenue and Rideau Street.
