Simoneau: Meech Lake, with almost no politics

For much of my adult life, Meech Lake seemed to me more political construct than blue water and verdant views. It was the lake of the accord, with its waves of democratic debate and its trippy, lapping idioms such as “amending formula” and “asymmetrical federalism.”
