Shooting near Baseline, Merivale sends man to hospital

A 32-year-old man was rushed to hospital Thursday night with injuries that were not considered life-threatening following a shooting southeast of the intersection of Baseline and Merivale roads.
Patrol officers responded to a reported shooting on Northview Road near Wallford Way in the Eleanor Park area at 11:13 p.m.
Further details on the victim were not immediately available.
Ottawa police guns and gangs squad is investigating.
