Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Ottawa region

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Ottawa area on Tuesday, as the city braces for another heavy storm.
“Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing torrential rain,” said Environment Canada in a statement, adding that “conditions will be favourable for severe thunderstorms into this evening as a warm and humid tropical air mass remains over Eastern Ontario.”
