Seven people, and pet dog, displaced after three area fires Thursday

Five people and a pet dog have been displaced after Ottawa Fire Services spent a busy Thursday with three house fires.
Residents at 2835 Ashton Station Rd., in the rural Beckwith area, called 911 at about 8 p.m. to report a chimney fire.
When firefighters arrived they found the fire had extended from the chimney to a exterior wall and into the attic of the two-storey home.
A woman, a child and a pet dog were in the residence at the time of the fire.
