Septuagenarian biker escapes 417 crash with minor injuries

A man in his 70s was lucky to escape serious injury when he fell off his motorcycle on the eastbound Highway 417 near the Vanier Parkway just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
His bike somehow managed to keep upright on its wheels before landing in the ditch several hundred metres away.
Paramedics said his injuries were minor but eastbound traffic was backed up towards Nicholas Street.
