Senators reducing Canadian Tire Centre seating by 1500
When it comes to attendance, the Ottawa Senators are banking on a less is more philosophy.
After a 2016-17 that included far too many empty seats – including not selling out for playoff games – the Senators have reduced seating capacity at Canadian Tire Centre to 17,000 from the previous 18,500.
The upper bowl of the arena is now covered with tarps.
