Senators go with experience, recalling Ben Harpur over Thomas Chabot

The Ottawa Senators say Thomas Chabot had a “great” game in his pro debut, a 3-0 loss Friday during which the organization’s most precious prospect was a minus-2 while recording five shots on goal.
Either way, Chabot wasn’t going to be recalled when Ottawa needed a defenceman for Saturday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings. Instead, the more seasoned Ben Harpur was summoned from the farm team with Johnny Oduya ruled out because of a lower body injury.
