Section of Gatineau shopping centre evacuated

Gatineau police have evacuated part of the food court of Les Promenades de Gatineau after arresting a man for making threats.
As of 3 p.m. Thursday, they were still investigating at the scene.
Police said a man came to the mall and started threatening staff in one of the businesses, which police have not identified. Officers arrested the man and at that time noticed he had a package that appeared suspicious. That was when they evacuated the area around the package.
