Rideau Canal Skateway to close at 10 p.m. Monday

The Rideau Canal Skateway is temporarily shutting down Monday night after mild weather has eroded the quality of the ice, the National Capital Commission announced.
The 7.8-kilometre skateway will close at 10 p.m.
“The mild weather and the precipitations expected in the coming days will erode the quality of the ice surface and create hazardous conditions for skaters and the public,” the NCC said. “This closure, while we wait for colder weather, will help preserve the ice with t
