Responders attempt to free deceased worker trapped in buried excavator

Technical experts have been called to a worksite on Highway 105 north of Farrellton, near Wakefield, to try to find safe ways to extract a road worker buried in the cab of an excavator machine Thursday morning.
The worker is dead, police said Friday.
The accident occurred at about 10 a.m. Thursday when the worker was on the private property, about 30 kilometres north of Ottawa.
The excavator was trapped in a landslide.
