Reports of 'large gun' result in arrest

A man was arrested early Friday after police received reports of two people with a “large gun” near the ByWard Market.
Officers arrested a man without incident and seized a gun soon after being called to Daly Avenue near Cumberland Street at 1:30 a.m. A subsequent search of a vehicle resulted in the discovery of a rifle, three magazines and a large amount of ammunition, police said.
