Remembering Tommy Banks

The Edmonton Journal reports here that the revered jazz pianist and former senator Tommy Banks died Thursday. The Calgary-born, Edmonton-based Banks was 81, and he succumbed to leukemia.
A teen prodigy, Banks was widely known as the star of The Tommy Banks Show, a variety show that ran between 1968 and 1974 and later from 1980 to 1983.
