Remembering Gord Downie through his lyrics

Gord Downie chose to bravely confront death head-on, raising awareness of his causes and his cancer.
He showed Courage, and Grace, Too. Instead of privately fading away, he brought us along on his journey to the other side, continuing to educate us and setting an example to live up to, including the fight for Indigenous communities.
I imagine, with a heavy heart, that he is meeting his maker in picturesque Bobcaygeon, surrounded by family and bandmates, a bittersweet ending to a life fully lived
