Red Cross to begin cash support to tornado victims

The Canadian Red Cross is to begin cash support for victims of the six tornadoes that hit the national capital region on Sept. 21.
The agency said it will be providing $600 to qualified families of fewer than three people. Families of more than four people could be eligible for up to $800 in financial assistance from the Red Cross.
To be considered for financial assistance, households must be registered with the Red Cross. They must also be uninsured. So far, almost 3,000 people have registered
