Record year on Skateway with nearly 1.5 million visits

Before the Rideau CanalSkateway  closed for the season Sunday, skaters laced up a record nearly 1.5 million times this season, the National Capital Commission boasts.
“We’re happy to report we had a record-breaking season with 1,493,524 million visits on the Rideau Canal Skateway this season!” the commission reported in a tweet Tuesday.
“Thank you to all of our visitors, and to the Skateway crews who made it possible.”
