Rebel MPP Amanda Simard vows to continue fighting against francophone service cuts

Rebel Tory MPP Amanda Simard doesn’t seem to be ready to take a qualified yes for an answer from her boss, Premier Doug Ford, who has softened changes he had announced to proposed cuts to francophone institutions.
Simard, the rookie member for largely francophone Glengarry-Prescott-Russell riding, on Saturday tweeted a one-word message, “Résistons (Resist)” accompanied by a letter signed by 111 “francophone and francophile” jurists who supported her oppositio
