RCMP HQ evacuated in propane tank fire

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police national headquarters in the Rideau Glen-area was safely evacuated Tuesday morning after a propane tank on the roof caught on fire.
Firefighters reported they were cooling the 100-pound tank.
Alarms sounded at the building on Leikin Drive near Merivale Road in the city’s south end at 8:44 a.m.
