Raccoon rescued to dumpster dive another day

The city’s bylaw department rescued a raccoon who got a paw stuck to a dumpster over the weekend while trying to enjoy a little garbage delight.
The critter was foraging in Kanata when it ran into trouble.
“Our officers were able to bend the metal to free it,” the city’s bylaw department reported Tuesday. “Luckily the raccoon was not injured and did not require transport to a vet.”
