Quick action at weekend Army Run saves man in cardiac arrest
Volunteers with St. John Ambulance Canada and Canadian Ski Patrol saved the life of a runner who collapsed just as he was about to cross the finish line of the Canada Army run Sunday.
After cardiopulmonary resuscitation and a shock from an automatic external defibrillator delivered, the man regained sinus rhythm.
“He is now in hospital and will soon return to his wife and daughter,” St. John Ambulance Canada reported, hashtagging the happy ending #savinglives.
