Project aims to help shatter healthcare's leadership glass ceiling

At a time when women outnumber men at medical schools and make up 80 per cent of the health workforce, the number of women in health leadership roles makes a stark contrast.
Women hold relatively few leadership jobs in healthcare in Canada and head fewer than 20 per cent of hospitals. The Ottawa Hospital’s 28-member senior leadership team, for example, contains more than twice as many men as women, including its CEO Dr. Jack Kitts, which is not unusual.
