Power outage after east-end hydro line fire

Power was out in the area as first responders tackle a power line fire at St. Laurent Boulevard and Innes Road Wednesday morning.
Hydro Ottawa first said that 3,112 customers were affected in the Russell, Walkley, Innes, St. Laurent and Sheffield Road areas and that its crews are on the scene assessing the damage.
By about 1:45 p.m., the utility said that all but 31 customers had power again. Power was expected to restored to them by 4 p.m.
