Power back after south end outage

Power has been restored to a large area in the city’s south end, Hydro Ottawa reports.
Some 1,055 customers were left without power in the area of Rideau, River, Spratt and Earl Armstrong roads after an excavation machine hit a utility pole, knocking wires down on the equipment.
