'Pop-up' safe-injection site in Ottawa sees 11 clients on first day

The “pop-up” safe-injection site set up near the ByWard Market as an emergency response to the rising number of overdoses in Ottawa saw 11 clients on its opening day Friday.The unauthorized site in Raphael Brunet Park, across the street from 310 St. Patrick St., was open to anyone who wanted to use the service for three hours Friday evening.
