Police warn about jewelry thieves prowling Ottawa

Ottawa police are warning capital area residents about a group of scam artists that are targeting people and stealing their jewelry and other valuables.
According to police, the suspects have been approaching potential victims on the side of the road, in parking lots, or outside their homes. They then ask the victims for assistance, sometimes asking for directions or other help.
