Police release results of long weekend RIDE program

Ottawa police pulled over more than 700 drivers on the Labour Day long weekend as part of various RIDE initiatives held across the nation’s capital.
Police said a road check on Aug. 31 resulted in 400 drivers being stopped and interviewed. Two roadside screening tests were administered and one person was arrested and charged with impaired driving.
